I'm running full screen width of 1024, and I still get a horizontal scroll bar on DPC. Is it a bug in Firefox? DPC? Me?

Any ideas on how to fix it?

TIA,
Ara

Do you have any extensions loaded? I have the scrollbar problem on both my Mac and XP machines.

Which version of Firefox are you running? This is fixed in 1.0.

EDIT: Correction -- I still have the problem, but only on the front page.

For me (ff 1.0 under osx atm), the HSB appears when the menu is loaded (where the HSB would not be visible otherwise). I disabled the menu script with adblock and reloaded: no HSB.

I'm running FireFox 1.0, XP Home Edition SP 2, at 1152x864, and I've always had a horizontal scroll bar in all sections of DPC.

Click Tools - Options from the menu

Click Adavance Option] and scroll down to Software Updates
Click Check Now

The 1.0 fixed should be showed and click download and install

Then it should be fixed

I'm not gonna upgrade for a looong time. I finally got Java working and all my plugins are nice 'n happy. 0.9.3 is where I'll be for the next year or so :)

It's due to the way the Gecko engine (ie Mozilla & FireFox's backend) renders the javascript menubar. If you scroll sideways, you'll notice that the only thing that goes the entire page width is the menu. Unfortunately, from what I remember (since I reported this years ago now) D&L don't have the source of the jscript, so are unable to debug it. :o/
