ok.....my first vote was a 9 (YAY!!!!!!) then after the 2nd vote my score had dropped to 7. Can someone explain to me (very simply *LOL*) how do I calculate what someone voted my image?
Score continues to drop.......down, down, down. Sitting on 6 at the mo, still way above my average :)

Maybe you need to be a camera guy who happens to be a mechanic/shop owner :) I am curious, have you been successful selling any of your work or competing anywhere else? If not, I bet you just haven't tried. It is an inspiration and a challenge to see your scores and your wonderful photos. Keep sharing. |

Well this is the only cam I got for the moment. I plan to migrate to a D70 soon but still plan to use this a lot. What can I say, this was my first cam, I'm very attached to it :p
BTW, you should be doing a lot better than us P72's. After all, you do have 1 whole megapixels more than us :p |

Thanks for the kind words Darlene.
Other than sharing on the web and DPCPrints, I haven't done anything else with my work.
Someday I hope to go further, but will need a serious upgrade in equipment first. That and 36 hour days..
Guess this is an educational step competing here, and feel completely like a newbie compared to many others here, which I couldn't hold a candle to.
Maybe some day...

I got really sick this morning, and have spent most of the day in bed.. so I forgot to unsubmit my entry.. doh. However, it's pulling a 5.6, so in a challenge of 644 entries, I suppose that's not all bad for a horribly cliched shot, that anyone that even *half* knows me will know which one it is. lol.
I don't have any imagination anymore apparently.

well don't try comparing yourself to my high quality of work you newbie, course you couldn't hold a candle to me :p
na seriously on this site your classified as a Master err.... I mean Invitation Challenger (3 or more - Ribbons) so yeh your no newbie and your work is of high standard so yeh keep improving and winning all those ribbons

Lol.. well, this is my first 5.5+ shot in 6 entries.. and at the rate it's dropping *now*.. it'll be a 5.3 or something by morning. *shrug*.
I honestly think that I'll be staying away from open challenges from now on. They've gotten too.. bloated.
