I took the following phot of my wife and child and then played with it in photoshop when I was supposed to be working. I would love some opinions on it. I think it turned out pretty well but would like some professionals, (other dpc members)to look at it and tell me what they think.

I am no expert by all means but here is what I think:

I like the pose, maybe would have liked to see more face, from baby and mother.
The soft focus works, because it is a baby pic, I am not crazy about it, but OK.
The shadow on the wall is a bit distracting.

All in all it's not bad but the lighting would be the first thing I would try to improve (I do not like shadows :)

Edit: Congrats on a lovely pink baby! It's great to be a father!
