I'm thinking of getting a Rebel GII film camera because there are some really good deals on it. How many manual features does it have? |

If your planing on building a lens set to someday move to a DSLR then I would recommend that you go the nikon route, unless you have canon lenses. The lenses are a little more expensive, but are better quality. Case in point, compare the VR Nikons to the Canon IS lenses on review sites. As for a SLR, I would recommend the N80 by nikon. It is a wizbang camera with perfect focal plane alignment. If money is tight, go for the N55 or N75. You can go full manual and have the best exposure system on the planet.

I teach film, and photography at SFSU, and work for the AP. I have used almost every camera, with every lens ever made.
