I have added a 77mm variable natural density filter to my lens - I can̢۪t figure out what I can use for a lens cap - suggestions/options??? |

You should be able to just use the same lens cap from you lens - no? Or is the filter too shallow? |

I have a neutral density filter that I have to take off and store separately before I put my lens cap back on. There may be a better answer (coincidentally, my wife's nickname for me), but that's been my experience. |

No, it won̢۪t fit/stay on - I think I might try one of the silicone lens caps. |
