Well, my submission for despair isn't doing quite as well as I'd expected, but it was still an interesting topic to shoot. Below are the ones that didn't make it into the challenge.

I like the "Buried" picture of the barn in the snow, although it needs more light. I just bought a pair of 500W work lights from Home Depot this week that I hope to use for some of my pics in the future. Those lights would have helped out the Buried picture.
