Does anyone know of any good capture programs that would be compatible with my 10d? I am scheduled to do a modeling shoot here in the next couple of days and I wanted something to where I could shoot a picture and have it show instantly on my computer. If anyone knows of any software's that would allow me to do this. Please share. Thanks.

I think the Canon SW will do it, but Canon makes good cameras, not software.

You can try this: BreezeSys DSLR Remote too.

The 10D is handicapped by a USB 1.1 connection, which means that you may spend some time waiting for images to transfer.

So you think that the software that comes with the camera will do the trick. Because to be honest with you i just opened up the camera and never really messed with the software nor did i care to read up on it. I will be sure to take a look at it when i get home.

Honestly, I don't know for sure, because I tried the 10D software, was apalled at how lousy the RAW converter was and removed it all from my PC. Since you already have it, it's worth a shot before you spend money for something else. If it works anything like the RAW converter, it'll be a suck.

I think the limiting factor will be the USB 1.1 connection between the PC and cam. The newer cams support firewire which would provide more reasonable image transfer times. You might be able to use the video out and show the images on a TV screen.

Canon has been including capture software with their better digicams as far back as my Pro 90 in 2001. The latest is EOS Capture 1.1 which shipped with the 20D. I'd bet your 10D had a similiar program but you might find a newer version at the Canon site.
