Imaging AI is making spectacular progress. Is this technology going to put photographers out of business?
Another imaging program
The applications are clearly limitless, but also open up a Pandora's box of ownership and copyright. |

for those of you who think that the "subject" is the most important part of a photograph, then the answer is no. You won't need your cameras anymore. I don't think it's too early to throw your cameras out right now.
The rest of us can keep them. Maybe give yours to us. |

At the same time it makes cameras unnecessary, AI will likely make the human race unnecessary. |

I'm not sure why everyone has so much confidence in Artificial Intelligence when we haven't even mastered Natural Intelligence yet ... |

Just as cameras made the paintbrush and pen completely useless?

LOL!
But it may make photographers poorer, since patrons could just download their AI "photos", created EXACTLY as they dictate it. |

I highly recommend the story "With These Hands" by Cyril M. Kornbluth -- it directly addressed these topics (and technology) about sixty seventy years ago (1951) ...

That's a KILLER prescient SF story! I remember it well. I was a SF geek growing up in the Golden Age of SF. Had subscriptions to all the rags. Of course, 1951 was a tad early for me :-) But I caught up fast enough... I became immersed around 1959, I think... Maybe as early as 1957, not sure...
