I know we've discussed and debated raising the limit on challenge photos--and many didn't like this. BUT why are the images I upload to my portfolio still limited. If I decide to load a larger one, why shouldn't I? I am still limited to 10MB.

I uploaded an image this morning for comments, but 640 is really too small for this image. Yes, I know I could load it elsewhere and link it off-site, but why should I have to?

In other words, I am suggesting the limit be removed or raised for portfolio images.

Anyone second that? :)

I didn`t realise they were limited to "challenge" dimensions Neil...I`m sure I`ve loaded one or two larger than 640 in the past...I must check that !!

Portfolio images are indeed limited to 640 pixels on longest side BUT print file versions can be as large as you like and do not count towards the 10 MG limit.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to load slightly larger images into our portfolios if we want to as we'd just be able to upload a smaller number - the overall limit on size needn't change.
