so i am still learnin my new D70. i am mostly familiar with Nikon from the N65 so thus far no problems. what i want to know is, is there a way to select one of the 5 focus points? i know on the n65 you could scroll through, though it seems the D70 only lets you use dynamic, closest, or single (which would be great if i could select my own focus point. ideas or tips? thanks

You need to go to the Menu /CSM Menu. there is 02 and 03. 02 AutoFocus Single. 03 AF-Area Mode/Single Area. That allows you to then use the toggle switch to choose which area

And the little switch on the back, with the L next to it, under the thumb thing needs to be in the unlocked position.

don't use the master or sub-command dial, but use the multi-selector switch. It is the round "joystick" style to right of the review LCD above the lock switch. Hint also set the swich to wrap. That way it function quicker because you don't have to change directions to select.
