I probably am not going to participate in the macro challenge. Mostly because these pictures needed advanced editing rules to be presentable, it was impossible to make them without some artifacts due to the subject nature.
Also, because of the number of entries in the challenge already, and lastly i don't think abstractions like this have a universal appeal, even though they are made in scientifically appealing colors.
So, i would very much appreciate any comments, especially the negative ones. If you don't like these, i'd like to know why. Thanks!
I have another completely different shot for the challenge if i decide to enter, so it won't be obvious at all. |

I like 'em. All four are nice. I agree w/ Eric, #4 is my favorite. Then #2, 3, and 1 in that order.

Wow! I love #4. It's fantastic. The colors and lighting are awesome.
What lens or other accessories are you using for these shots? |

these are really great. Looking at these outtakes, I might have to re-think if I should submit or just vote :> |

Nothing special, Nikon 60/2.8D micro, a fluorescent lamp with light-light blueish cover, a white poster board as a reflector, various colors of dish soap (bubbles stay much longer than in anything else) and intentionally incorrect white balance to make an even deeper bluish tint. The last one is also photoshopped to make it a yellower yellow, and of course brightness/contrast adjusted to match is on the pictures with what i saw. |
