I prefer the simple charm, natural lighting and subtlety of the original by far.

For me, if you become aware of the treatment more than the photo itself then it has not succeeded. It's like noticing how the FX are done in a feature film - when they're seamless you concentrate on the plot, and the on-screen action - and for me there's little difference with photography.

I like the one you entered. It doesn't look "natural" but that is what makes it interesting. It has an "otherworldy" feel to it. Groovy!
