thought I had a good concept in this worth more than the middle of the pack.. but hey, that's life. thanks for all who voted and left comments. I'll try even harder again next challenge I enter.

in the meantime, more coffee. this one was too weak.

Although I did not comment, but I liked this image and the concept.

I liked this concept. I think if you could have smoothed out the tape to "antialias" the treble sign, it might have been the top of the pack. In one place the "bump" in the lines is caused by the shadow, but perhaps if you could have done this whole image as a shadow, it would have naturally smoothed out the lines.

I'm a little dissapointed to with my result. I think i came up with something different. But guess not. the more effort it takes on a picture the less people reconize it. :(

Like Neil, I enjoyed the shot but found the execution a little haphazard.

Here's an idea for you. Browse through some music scores and find a treble clef (G-clef, I should say) font that you like and copy it.

I guess I am a little disappointed, too. But there were no negative comments, only 4 positive ones. Score wise no 1s, no 2s.

Where did I fail? I guess untraditional approach doesn't quite work.

maybe thats the problem. viewers recognize when we've over-thought an image perhaps. the simplicity seems to score high on here, and although I think mine is as simplified as possible, i think I lost points because of it.

i remember your image, I gave it an average score because although it struck me at first, I didn't like the fact that the guitar was dark but not silhouetted, like you couldnt decide which to do. if it was totally black against the light (making it more simple), I probably would have been more likely to score it higher.

The title put me off this one... can't imagine that any blues player would want a guitar like this.
