I wanted to use HOOS as well because it got us straight into the double vowels, but when I researched it, it was not in any of the English Dictionaries.

Collins Scrabble Words contain more words than the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary and more words than the Official Tournament and Club Word List.

I was hoping for SEED>STED>STEM>ITEM or something of that sort.

I had a path worked out from HOED, which I've saved on my computer but I've already switched it off for the night.

Hopefully this will be solved before I switch it on in the morning.
