Set out this morning to get some shots of a game going on somewhere. I finally found this flag football game going on nearby.
Here's one I took...cropped, levels maybe a few others...
All comments/suggestions good and bad are GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks! |

I like it. You "froze" the action well. Pretty good sharpness. Maybe the whites are a little washed out but not bad. |

Hey Dave,
It isn't a bad shot at all. The face is a bit overexposed but that is hard to avoid sometimes. I may have tried for a tighter crop from the waist up or maybe leave it as is. I personally hate shooting flag football. You do get the emotions on the players' faces better but I love full contact. Not sure if you have a rugby league or team where you live but that makes for some great shots as well. |

Thanks a lot for the comments.
I guess when shooting sports it's really all about being able to follow the game. This flag football game was probably the fastest paced game I've ever watched so I had a hard time.
As far as rugby, that *is* the field where they play rugby. I actually set out to catch a rugby game -- but instead there were two flag football games going on.
I've only shot two sporting events thus far and the last was a rugby game with my s3100 and REALLY low light so none of them really turned out well. And I was using a tripod whereas now I picked up a nice little monopod which makes pointing somewhere else, obviously, a lot easier.
Again, thanks. |
