I just wonder.... My Music photo is getting much less
voting than my October Free Study or my Bizarre Nature photos.
I am taling about Votes and Views, and not about Avg Vote.
I am wondering if auone else notied it.
Of course the reason I am updet is because the Music photo is
my favorite among the three. ):

usually you can expect to get about 25% more votes than there are entries. many folks only vote on challenges they have entered i think.

wish that were true for OFS, i'd love to have 600 votes for that one! but i'll be lucky to hit 250 votes. :) I think people should make more of an effort to vote for all the photos in all the contests they enter.

You're a champ! It's unfortunate that not everyone can commit that much time to their participation here, but kudos to those of you who do ... it is appreciated. |

I agree. I have to work, too, like most of us here. So I voted on all of the October and Nature photos before even looking at the Music one. I don't know if I'll have time to get to it, but felt it was more important to vote on all the entries in a challenge rather than just vote on a few in each. I actually prefer to vote on challenges I haven't entered. It is easier to be objective -- at least for me. |

There are going to be a lower amount of votes per challenge this time because there are four challenges for members to vote on and one challenge for registered users to vote on.
Here are the challenges that will get the most votes per photo IMO:
1. Bizarre Nature because both members and registered users can vote. The more people able to vote the more votes per picture.
2. October Free Study because I think members wanted to vote on a wide variety of photos.
3. Indecision because it was speed challenge and not many entries. Plus members is interested in seeing what some came up with in 24-hours.
4. Music it will suffer the most because all the other challenges this week. Plus IMO I was not an interesting subject.
I take about 1 minute on each photograph when voting [I study the photo] so if I was to vote on every picture this week, all 946 photos, it would take me 15 hours and 46 minutes. So look below it might tell you why some challenges are not getting as many views and votes as they normally do.
Based on how long someone takes to vote on each photograph:
1 minute – 15h 46m
45 seconds – 11h 50m
30 seconds – 7h 53m
15 seconds – 3h 57m
So you can see it takes a while to vote on 946 photographs and I try to vote on 100% of the photos in each challenge before going to another challenge.
I just thank everyone that has done there best to vote. And I am grateful to the ones that even took time to comment.
Just the math in me coming outâ€Â¦.sorry!

I just love you math people! I bought a diffuser disc this week. I tried for an hour to put it back in the little case. Took it open to school with me the next morning and went to a math teacher -- she rolled it right back up first time!! I stand in awe of your minds!! |

kiwinick, you gave my music photo a comment, and I thanke you for that. (:
Logically I know people can't vote for all the 4 challenges. I wans't able to do so myself. I just wonderes all of you got less votes for Music, or if it was just me... |

I think it's a low number only relative to the other challenges. I have 148 votes, and there were only 124 entries. |
