Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

I have been working on a pic for Macro. Just when I thought I was ready to go- I realize that it is "Basic Editing" rules and therefore cannot submit this image.

How do think I would have done if it were "Advanced Editing" rules?

What did you do that makes it ineligible? Spot editing?

The shot itself is very nice. I probably would have scored it as a 7 or 8. I would like to see the lashes a little darker to help balance out the darkness of the iris. A little more space at the top of the shot might help too. Depending on the eye color, this image might also do well in color or presented as under-saturated. Just my two cents... Thanks.

Yes, I spot edited to take out glare from her pupil.

I would've given it an 8. It's a very clean focused shot. You can't help but look right into the pupil. Very nice.

Too bad you posted it here. Since Calendar is going to effectively be a Free Study, you could have entered there and picked a cold winter month, January say. Even Ophthalmologists have calendars.
