As some of you will already be aware, I've just switched from Windows 95 to XP, while still using a 4.5 year old monitor. Now, when I come to dpchallenge, I find photos in portrait mode no longer fit on my screen. Is there any way to overcome this problem without getting a new monitor? |

What resolution do you have the monitor on?

800 x 600 - which is the highest that will fit on the screen. |

This is from memory so bear with me (or someone on windows correct me)...
I expect it's a combination of the new Fisher Price interface (bigger taskbar, bigger window titlebars) and maybe a re-arranged layout in explod^Hrer.
If you rightclick on a toolbar in explorer then select 'unlock toolbars' (or deselect 'lock toolbars'?) you will be able to move the links & address bars around so they take up less space. You could even switch the links bar off if you don't use it.

... or just press F11 and get rid of the interface altogether. Fullscreen is a great way to vote. |

Getting rid of the interface is fine, but how do we get it back? I can't remember how.

Thanks, everyone. That F11 thing means the pictures come pretty close to fitting. At least now I can get a good enough impression to know what I am voting on. |
