A custom crafted whine just for you, David:

I no longer feel safe in my own country.

Yep, it'll be "How can I make some money with these deaths?"

Gotta have a bit of a whine, say a very surprising depressing outcome, 90% of the world are gonna be feeling a little miffed right now, and frankly i can't wait till 2008/9 for Hillary to get in there. At least when thousands of people are being murdered, she'll do more than read My Pet Goat...

Not even close. Florida was a vote difference in the hundreds. Ohio seperates the candiates with over 100 thousand.

A sad day for the world. God help us all. I guess all the fear mongering worked. The American people have given the Bush administration a license to continue bullying the rest of the world and ignoring the UN, the World Court and the Kyoto Accord.....except of course when it's to their advantage. Shame on you.

I also agree with this but not the analysis. I think that Bush and the Republican party convinced many in the US that they are the party of morality. They appealed to people's religion and some churches even hinted that it was a sin to vote Democrat. But 49% of us did not buy it. We can see where the money is going and that though Bush may talk the talk of being a Christian he does not walk the walk of caring for those who are less fortunate and giving to the poor rather than to the rich. I know this will generate snide responses but so be it! Seems to be quite a few conservative folks on this site. We liberals (moral as we really are!) need to say our piece (peace) here too. Ann

It's a sad day for America too. A lot of people around the world love Americans but hate the Bush administration. I think this is going to lead to more resentment of Americans throughout the world. That is very unfortunate and I predict more terrorism as a result.

I hope your prediction doesn't come to pass but I fear that it will.

What gets me is that all kinds of people are saying they voted for "morality". What a bunch of crap! How are we so damn moral. A quick scan of the daily news will tell you how many Americans live their morality as opposed to the many who talk a good game and then do everything possible to stab their "neighbors" in the back. I could rant on and on but the bottom line is that I think this country is in trouble.
