Hi, I am new here (as of yesterday) and I am sure this has been answered before but I couldn't find it so...

1. Is this website based in Australia?

2. If so, do the challenge time frames revolve around around
Australian time?

I mean, if I became a paying member, would I be at a disadvantage
because I find out the "Speed Challenge" subject, for example, 12 or more hours after it's already started over there?

When entering ANY challenge, do I need to be concerned about the time
somewhere else in the world?

As I said, I'm sure these questions have been covered before but I couldn't find the answers during a quick search.

Thanks,

Nick M.

DPC uses the EST/EDT timezone (Eastern U.S., with daylight savings adjustment). If you scroll to the very bottom of any page on DPC, you'll see the 'Current Server Time:' display. This is the official time that challenges are run by. Midnight, in server time, is the challenge deadline. This is 9PM for me, because I'm 3 hours behind the DPC time. (DPC time is currently UTC-5, but it UTC-4 in the Summer).

Colin, thanks a lot for the quick response. In Texas we are only an hour behind EST so that's relatively good, I suppose.

Everyone gets 24h for the challenge. If you don't find out about it because you're in bed, then you have the rest of the day to do it, while the people who found out about it earlier are in bed. I think it's pretty much fair for everyone.
