All right, would appreciate some feedback on meeting the Something New challenge. Could you construe new as opposed to old but not necessarily superduber brand new? Also, could you depict the process of making something new? For instance, I read in this thread new cars and rows of new loaves of bread. What about the process of making those new cars or loaves? And without going for the obvious, prosaic title with New in it, such as "making new cars"? What do you think?

Personally Ive not marked ANY photos down this week for not aparrently meeting the challenge. Something Old is just so general that almost anything fits it somehow.

I think Something New will be the same.

Personally I'm thinking about how something new makes me feel.

Over the years, I have come to realize that "new" is perceived in two ways:

1. Relevant to current time. (This year's model of anything is "new" this year.)

2. Relevant to human experience (individual or collective).

The atom bomb in WWII was both of the above.
Historically, "New Age" is perceived by major changes in social, political & economic structure as well as scientific advancement. So a trip to the local museum might be useful.

Would that not be against the "artwork" rule however?

Maybe I don't understand the "artwork rule" as you do. If so, then I need to retract. I understood that we could not rely on the display as the sole merit of the picture. I just today read Iggy's comment on his photo of an artistic piece: thread here. So I figured a "rendering" of an artistic piece is acceptable. (Yes/No???)
