I noticed during my voting that a bunch of people did what looks like a picture converted to black and white except for the yellow parts. I am curious how this was done without spot editing? It would have been a lot better if only one person did this, by the end of my voting I found that so many people had done this same thing that it had gotten really old. Even so, I still would like to know how it was done.

In photoshop, you go to Image > Adjust > Saturation and you reduce the saturation on all the colours (red, green, blue, cyan and magenta) except Yellow. That leaves you with a black and white picture, with only the yellow objects. NOTE: All yellow objects will stay yellow.
See my pic: //www.pbase.com/image/13105284Notice the yellow outlines on the branches in the bottom left corner.
Have fun with it!

the same thing as in this pic: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=7128 (which also offers an explanation)

Thanks for the good info, I should have thought of that. I guess it was just a mental block!
