Any word on the specs for the second edition of the Rebel, due to be in stores next spring? 8 megapixs, like the 20D?

black body rebels have been on sale here in japan from the start its just that they are called KISS here not REBEL ....BIIIIG difference , even in black with Kiss written on them makes you feel YUCK!!!! hence D70

They should have flames as an option. Now that would be badass.

They're already available in Canada. Check out Henry's or Vistek

I hear you loud and clear.

That was one of the principle reasons I opted for the Nikon. That and that I already had Nikon glass.

not-so. here in the UK Jessops are selling them at 800 quid (including supposedly crap lens and the battery pack attachment) and it's got the much more respectable 300D badge. Although, i think i'm planning on getting the 20D from the US for only 100 quidd more, as recommended by the helpful Konador...

what if silver was the next big thing? I mean Silver cars are IN, silver Hair is In !.... the Rebel may be the bad ass of bad asses! (I like telling myself that so do not burst my bubble!)

Silver is cool and your camera is cool. Painting it black would make you a true rebel.

I almost went for the 10d when I made my choice...and I chose to invest in better glass instead, I am very happy with my decision...but I do get comments every frikkin time I show up up with 10K of lenses and a 1K camera!

I wonder why everyone thinks black = badassness. People seem to despise black cellphones?

I'm patiently waiting for the day when cameras have interchangable housings for the bodies. It's all about CLEAARRR to show off the guts of your camera. THAT = ULTIMATE KICKASSERNESS ! ! !

KICKASSERNESS, yes. Badassernosity, no.
I think perhaps clear with some black (to avoid light leakage) and a silver polished inner frame would be best. Then you get it all in one package. With a white lens.

That qualifies for Kickbadassernopolonous.

People don't see you carrying them. Cell phones are about flashiness :P + I hope that future cameras don't have flashing led lights when being used.
