I do apologize, Janine! But... maybe you can Orton Effect your Yellow Five?

I was thinking that might be good practice for when the OE challenge does get posted, though this time it will only work with the one-photo techniques. ;-)

What are OE one-photo techniques? *duh*

Either use one of the filters mentioned, or (as I understand it) duplicate the image into a new layer, blur and adjust the tones, blend mode, and opacity, then merge it back into one image.

The ransom demand will be forthcoming. In the meanwhile do NOT go to SC with this or the outcome will not be pretty. Oh... wait... err... belay that...

Sounds like a lot of work to go through. I did some research into Orton Effect II and much of what I saw can be created in Photomatix Pro 6.0.3. Only difference is you have the option to choose which effect you prefer from over a dozen choices including surreal. Editing tools allow you to control how the image looks to your personal preference and Finishing Touch gives you even more editing options.

That's what this whole discussion has been about. Do you want to learn something by experimenting yourself or just push a button someone's made for you ... there are arguments (and people here) in favor of both ...
