If you're not using a flash and you're in manual mode, most times you can crank the ISO up to 800 or 1600, the aperture down to 2.8, and the shutter speed to about 250 and get some pretty good stuff. I like to use the 'one shot" mode to keep my camera's "eye" from wandering. A monopod can help steady your hand and focusing on the zone where the players' feet are can help your camera figure out where it should be "looking".
If you are using the "sports" mode or the AI servo mode, sometimes the camera gets confused about who it should be following. |

With out any examples and details it's hard to say, what shutter speeds were you getting? What lenses were you using? What setting were you using?
Shooting indoor sports can be very challenging because of the low light, to counter this you'll need to use faster lenses and higher ISOs. |
