Found another wasp in the grass at work, he's become the next in the series of bugz cards I'm doing. Have got to get rid of this notion that the camera protects me in some magical way...if the wasp had decided to get grumpy I couldn't have got away cos I was perched on a concrete wall!!

Nice wasp, as wasps go.

Being picky I think the lighting looks a little flat, and the motion blur on the left leg is a little annoying.

Generally you don't have to worry too much about wasps do you? Or at least the ones we get down our way don't seem to attack randomly. ;-)

Two trivia questions to go with the photo.. What lens is this taken with, and what do you intend to do with your bugz cards?

Thanks Chris :) Taken with the Sony 717, no extra lens's, have an outlet for a series of Bugz cards in one of our local shops. So......am wandering round peeking in, under and around bushes, or crouching motionless for hours in the middle of a clump of grass....waiting for the next bug to land!! LOL

Wow Sue, seriously impressive photo there :)

I am amazed it wasn't done with a dSLR with a flashy macro lens, that makes it doubly impressive coming from the straight 717 :)

About borders.....not really done much with them. What sort would look best??

Neat, I didn't realise the 717 was good at the macro end.. I thought you'd splashed out on a macro lens for the 300D...
