Plus, real success is when you get knocked down, lose it all, and claw your way back up again. Epically motivating story!

A pleasure to watch, and truly I'd mostly rather watch paint dry than watch golf, but him..... yeah....he's fun to watch.

Dreams are what success is made of.

I get that. I'm also one of those people who has been fortunate enough to realize dreams twice in my lifetime.....the ability to do what I love and both get paid for it and establish a reputation of quality and genuine talent in what I have done.

But offering up people like Tiger Woods, A.J. Foyt, Larry Bird, Johhny Unitas, Jesse Owens, or any one of those once-in-a-lifetime people as a role model for the regular person simply escapes any vision of reality for me.

I have no wish to take anything from the man on any level. Five Masters' titles! Hell, yeah! I loved seeing this bastion of WASPness uprooted by an incredible, charismatic young man of color, and the fact that he's *so* good simply made it that much better.

But as someone who had to struggle most of my life trying to meet unrealistic expectations of performance, I am reluctant to encourage someone to be something they most likely cannot. My daughter grew up much happier knowing that I just wanted her to have fun and pursue what she liked rather than drive her beyond her capabilities without any concern for her interests.

Sorry..... I've just been around too many sports parents in my lifetime who have ruined sports for their kids because they pushed them too hard.

Yes. I agree. The dreams should be yours and not your parents.
