It'd be nice if on the front page, there were a couple of checkboxes/small icon toggles/whatever next to each thread so we could quickly ignore/watch/whatever a thread without necessarily opening up the entire thread, selecting the option from the drop-down and (mostly) waiting for the reload. I envision something similar to the thumbnail voting, where adjusting scores mean no reload and a small visual cue.

I've also expressed similar in terms of being able to manage the threads one is watching and tick several to clear them at once.

I have thought about the same. It would be so much easier if there were tick boxes.
