		| | I know there are many Macro Masters here, so I'd like some feedback, porfavor. This is a Dahlia that I'm sure will die in the next few weeks as winter rolls in, but hopefully I have memorialized it forever.
 Camera Info:
 Nikon D2H
 Tamron 90mm Macro Lens
 ISO: 250
 Apperature: f4.2
 Sutter 1/1000

 Thanks!

 Dan

		| | pretty shot, I like it..I don't do macro myself so I probably dont' have as much knowledge as the next person. But off the cuff, it's a nice shot. |

		| | I would have tried at least a F/8 for a bigger DOF, looks like you had plenty of light to do that, but that would slow your shutter speed down and you would need a tripod. Still a nice shot, colors great. |

		| | Colours and exposure are great however for the chosen composition I think more DOF would have worked better. The out of focus petals in the foreground are a bit distracting.
With this shallow DOF try getting in much closer to emphasize the center of the flower more.

		| | Thats a good start. I really don't know much or what makes a macro better but here are a few of mine that I took that I like.

		| | I very much like the shallow DoF, but I do agree that a tighter framing, losing the OOF near petals, would improve the shot. I also think that moving the white balance just a touch cooler makes an inprovement, but that's just my taste.

		| | I agree that this is a great shot overall but could benefit from a slightly deeper DOF to give the foreground petals more focus. Great exposure and colors are very nice.
