Instead of the usual idea where you try to have a caption for a photo, it could be fun to state a caption and have submissions fit the caption.

That's a cool idea...I'm not sure if the results would be that interesting, though.

Really? I think with the right caption, there could be a wide variety of ways to interpret what kind of pic would fit it.

I think it could be fun, too. Hopefully there will be some title suggestions that can be interpreted in several ways by members anywhere.

Possible suggestions:
"Paradise Alley"
"The Secret Journey"
"Bridge over Troubled Water"
"If I Had a Hammer"
"Who Let the Dogs Out?"
"Scene from Psycho"

I want to see a bunch of interpretations for
"my life with mr. squishy"

"pounding sand"

"Parts within Implied Lines of a Defining Feature of Wildlife"

...that shouldn't cause too many heated debates on 'meeting the challenge', should it?

ROFL!

How about "The greatest picture ever taken" That should be sufficient to increase the average score, right?

Oh god no!!!!!

Can you imagine how many "does not meet challenge" comments there would be! *laugh*

Or get the SC to post a picture, and then members to send in a caption which would then get voted on in the usual way.

Good ideas, but what if we took winning captions from caption contests and then asked DPCers to compose a photo that fits it? They'd be pretty random, like the following I made up:
"OK, I got him covered!"
"What do you mean I can't come in?"
"Who picked this color, anyway?"
"I never knew these things were so heavy!"
