Was out today and came across two badgers .. see //www2.photosig.com/viewphoto.php?id=724696

I wish i could have being closer to get better photo's, so I am thinking of buying this.

"The TC-E15ED telephoto converter multiplies its (already huge) 35-280mm focal length by 1.5x to give an incredible 420mm super-telephoto"

Is it worth it ?? does it reduce the F stops??? light ..

Antony,
Nikon USA lists a "combined f number" of 4.2
If we assume this is at full zoom, then this is equivalent to the 5700 without an accessory lens, as the 5700's lens is f4.2 at full zoom.
Seems reasonable, as the front element diameter looks somewhat larger than the front element of the camera (more light collecting power), it has only four elements & uses coated ED glass, so loss should be low.
At 420mm 35mm equivalent focal length, you'll need a VERY steady mount! I use the TC-E3 on my Nikon 995, which gives roughly 450mm and it absolutely requires a tripod, or a rest and a very fast shutter speed.
