I admit it.... I'm a one hit wonder.. one ribbon,,, and never close again.

Let's have a challenge for everyone like me to try and get the illusive 2nd ribbon!

Step up the rest of.. don't be ashamed. Hello my name is ______ and I'm a one hit wonder... see it's easy to say. Now don't you feel better? (tongue firmly in cheek)

if there was such a challenge (i'm i all for it, what with being one of the SLy Fox Let's Go All The Way single ribbon holder that i am) would the top 3 finishers be automatically disqualified for being awarded the second ribbon? and what if someone got a second ribbon during the vote period? eek! the shame!

The way to solve this is to take 3 one ribbon winners at a time and do a challenge with just the three and then move on to the next 3. lol

I'm all for it.

Another one hit wonder here (although a blue ribbon which I am sure a lot of people would give their right arm for).. Gave up Dpchallenge when it turned into a photoshop contest, still visit regularly though.. Enjoying my photography without the pressure of a challenge each week, I found that before I became far too focused on the weeks challenge and as a result I wasn't expanding my horizons enough. Also a new job and being a new dad took a lot of time up as well.
I came from the stable of taking a picture to fit the challenge, not taking a load of photos, picking the best one of the bunch and making a tenuous link by means of the title. Still think this is a great site though, from a community point of view. Who knows, maybe one day I may get around to enterting another challenge (in the open section, not the photoshop section...).

I'm a 1 hit wonder. I've also had some top 10's but just 1 ribbon. I'm all for anything to give me another ribbon....although....I haven't really participated much lately. =(

Would you feel that your second ribbon would mean the same to you in this type of challenge as it would if you were competing with everyone else thus making it a larger more challenging competition?

I also am a one hit wonder. It could be an interesting Challenge.

I definitely think it would be a good idea to have another contest that would be for those who have won one ribbon. I was allowed to be in the Master's Challenge because I had 2 third place ribbons. I have to say that I felt a little guilty about this since there are many others who have gotten a 1st or 2nd place ribbon and were not allowed to be in the challenge. I have to say that I really enjoyed the opportunity to compete against so many excellent photographers.

Better yet, a challenge for those of us who have NEVER won a ribbon? That way, the top three would ALL be first time winners.

Hi, I'm Mike... and I'm a one hit wonder :)

Interesting idea... Another varient on it could be a challenge restricted to folks that have come in dead last place at least once :)

Hi, I'm Faye and I'm a one hit wonder. And that was purely accidental .. It was a speed challenge and there weren't many submissions. :)

Except Jacko, who did it on purpose just to cover this eventuality ...

Would everyone then be competing for the last place ribbon?

It would mean as much as a ribbon i the masters challenge, which was only open to those with 2 or more..

I'm also a one hit wonder..
