Hi
I'm wondering if it is allowed to resize the canvas as musch as I want?

You can resize your canvas as you like, so that your canvas creates your border (see acceptable borders in the challenge rules).

Just make sure that the final image -- INCLUDING the border -- falls within the 160/640 pixel minimum/maximum dimensions. |

but lets say i have an image with white background and want to enlarge it by stretching (resizing) the canvas, is this allowed? it won't look as a border.

It is best not to resize UP because this causes a reduced quality, but it is legal.

Just set the background color to white (or sample and match the edge of your photo) and then enlarge the canvas with that. You are floating your image on a white border...remember DPC will put a 1-pixel black line between the edge of your photo and the gray page background. |
