Thanks for the link Tom. That is a great article, it explains alot of very complicated ideas in way that is understandable.

Good article, indeed!

Admittedly, I didn't read the whole thing, but the author seems to make two assumptions which I questioned...

1) People are working with printed materials
2) There's no need to digitally zoom or crop significant portions of the image

...but I'm probably way off base because I only read down to the part where he begins comparing Bayer vs. Foveon (about halfway down)...
