Hi-ho,

The way the light/figure cuts off at the bottom (hip) of the image is a little distracting to me, looks almost like a hard shadow edge, or was she sitting on something?

The jewelery is maybe a little distracting, but probably not all that much in a larger copy of the image.. (640px limit being the enemy of subtle details).

This image is not quite sensual to me, it's a great figure study, and you've used the light really well, but if you were aiming for a feminine/sensual image I think it's not quite right. Can't put my finger on it though.. Probably just me.

As always... Great work, thanks for sharing.

A wonderful back as well, thanks to your model as well. :-).

My first thought was WOW, and then I got pulled away to a meeting. I'm looking at it again now and trying to articulate the wow.

The color of the light really sets the mood, warm and sensual.
You showed only what need to be seen... the curve at the waist and strenght of the shoulder.

The jewelery makes it more personal to me, rather than just a body posed for a photo.

Not a technical critique, but an explanation of the impact it on me.

I actually find this quite hard to look at. Quite opposite from Nusbaum, I don't find the lighting to be warm at all, dispite the colors being in that family. They're way too dark to evoke any "softness"...and they're right on top of eachother. They don't really lend any light or life to the subject, but add to the ridgedness of her posture. Her hair seems to be wet, so it also lessens the softness of it, and her right side is completely obscured. I also want to add that because of the depth of the lighting, it makes her look very broad shouldered and somewhat masculine.

If you're looking to set a dark mood, so succeeded beautifully - She almost looks like she's been bronzed.

Just my opinion...don't mean to offend.
