Sorry for my newbie questions today. :-)

I have noticed there is always a drop in the final "total votes" number compared to the number of votes during the voting period. For example, I checked my score right before voting ended, and I had 289 votes. Then, after the results were calculated, I had 270 votes.

How can this happen?

Those who vote on less than 20% of the images have their votes removed at the end of the challenge. Also, those with weird voting patterns have their votes removed as well.

The vote monitor throws out the votes of people who haven't voted on 20% or who voted maliciously (all 1's).
