| i was looking at cannon's new 16MP and thought--gosh, that's really good, but it can't be the very best out there. can it? i'm just curious. any informed replies are more than welcome. |

| There are digital backs for medium format cameras that are upwards of 20 megapixels. Combined with Zeiss Contax lenses they'd be significantly more desireable than a 1Ds Mk II for fine art stuff. Big bucks though. |

| Well that question is not quite complete until you ask what is the best fcamera for a given job...You have Digital Medium Format backs from Phase One (the P25 with 22 MP), these are great in studios and landscapes but virtually useless in Sports Action or PhotoJournalism...so what you have to ask is what is the best camera for a given job...or what is the best all around camera suitable for all jobs but not quite the best for some of them. |
