Kavey and I hit London Zoo for the Wildlife challenge. If you'd like to see some of my other possible submissions for this challenge you can find them here at pbase.

As always I welcome comments and criticisms.

I like the weasle one the best (well thatz what they look like)
Weasle Things
and think it would score high
- Out of the birds I only like the Tuocan-
you can tell the others are caged

I hope that helps

The "weasle things" are Otters and thanks - I'm glad you liked them. :)

The caged birds thing was something I was very aware of. I didn't want to submit something that was obviously a zoo shot.

Was going to enter one of these:

Instead of this one

Does anyone think the alternatives whould have done better? Thanks in advance for the reply.

Whoops - have to run out for a minute. I'll check back in an hour.

These are my outtakes, some of which I seriously considered posting instead of my actual entry:

floyd, I like your deer in the doorway shot -- not in its natural environment but an unusual shot and it doesn't look like it's in a zoo.

I think you probably made the right choice but the komodo dragon is good too, although could do with a slight decrease in brightness. A lot of the images look like they were neat imaged as they have that smudged look and loss of detail.

Would this

have done better than this

Nick - I like the Zebra shot more but that is just me. I seem to gravitate towards b/w. Not sure it would have done better overall though as they are both static.

Thanks for the comment. You are correct that I used a NI like program on them. My first time experimenting with it. BTW - great MOuntain Lion shot and congrats on the red ribbon.

Judith - I think your King of Corn entry was the right choice. So cute!

jbsmithana - I love the kimodo dragon almost as much as the one you submitted but in the end I think you made the right choice.

Judith - you're right the peanut butter looks funky. I think you chose the right one.

doctornick - Nice as the zebras are the sleeping lion has a lot more interest and character for me.
