After 442 entries in the "Parts" challenge, it looks like "Defining Feature" will be lucky to get 100. A bit of a tough challenge to photograph.

There is still enough time for another 100 people to enter the challenge.

Hopefully, there won't be so many and my photo will look better cos it won't be three digits out of three digits!

The less pictures there are - the less big noses we'll see

Yet, it just wouldn't be as fun the competition as it is when there are many entries. I hope to see at least a 100 different ideas here. More inspiring, wouldn't you say?

Yes, I agree. I don't mind going thru 100+ and voting...it amazes me how good the photos are, but it reminds me how inadequate mine really are.

But Although disheartened and near suicidal, I will plod on and try to put a brave face on another defeat looming! After all, what else do I have to live for?

Seriiously, I just enjoy the anticipation of a challenge ending and voting starting, regardless of how I finish.

The first day I joined in (which wasn't that far ago actually) I felt the same.
But after a challenge or two, I feel totally different!
First, all the wonderful photos (and the less wonderful just as well) have helped me a lot re-building my ruined inspiration.
So my photos have not been ribboned yet, but I feel a great improvement, especially regarding the ideas I get for the photos.
I believe that the technique will follow eventually.
Besides, I learn a lot from the photos around. I think there are many very inspiring photographers here!

As for the challenges? I post what I really like. If the others like it as well - it comes as an unexpected bonus.
When a photograph that I was not 100% happy with score low, I tend to blame myself badly.
If I was totaly happy with it, with no relation to the contest, I am less crashed and un-motivated when it doesn't score well.

Well, these were my two cents...
