*blush* No, thank you for your service.

Now, back to BoSox bashing. And just where the heck are the Yankee fans? I'm feeling all lonely here. ;)

I'M HERE I'M HERE I'M HERE:
go to my yankees site!!! //goyankees.crosswinds.net/!!!

YANKEES WON TONIGHT, WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

oh, and if Steinbrenner buys the world championships, then howcome we didn't win last year, or the year before that, or the year before that?

We get the players we need to win because the Yankees are a legend and that's where baseball palyers want to play. It's up to them to "step up to the plate" so to speak, and actually play as if they're competant. Not like Herredia, tonight when he hit two batsman in a row.

That being said, I am a New Yorker, born and raised a Yankees fan, and it's never going to change. Those who can't appareciate a team that knows how to win, and wants it more then they want food and water, can go root for 1918.

One last thing, Johnny Damon needs to be taken out back, and either introduced to a razor and hair clippers, or a weed wacker.

Nah, I'm just enough of a baseball romantic that it's fun to think of dramatic match-ups.

27 outs from a Red Sox v. Yankees episode (a very large number).

SC- y'all may want to move this to rant. ;)

Both the Yankees and the Cards still got 2 teams to beat in order for that to be a chance.

do you mean what's the deal with the hype surrounding the shirt?

The hype is that Pedro showed up at Yankees stadium after the second time in a row being beaten by us, wearing it.

We decided to let you guys get to be up 3 games to none. After we win, the ghosts will be afraid to come back.

Really, that is the plan.

*nod* Excellent plan. Let me guess, you are planning on a grand slam homer against Rivera, bottom of the ninth in game 7 to win it right?

Well, I think the 7th game is back in the Bronx so it won't be a walkoff. Instead, after the grandslam, we will come back on the field and load the bases on the first three batters, and exit with 9 consecutive strikes.

It'll be great baseball.

HAHAHAHAHA
2-0, YANKS!
:)
10/14/2004 11:45:03 PM · #48
I'm just gonna add a little comparison to this.

Yanks- Respctfully give comments on the strengths of teams that do win (and lose)& never go into a game like a smart ass cocky kid.

Red Sox- Disrespectfully vow to silence 50K people

Yanks- Clean cut, nice presentation
Red Sox- more hair than any of them know what to do with....& really don't do much with!
Hey, a guy can have long hair, but at least make it look decent!

Their own attitudes are setting them up to look like asses. If they'd get some common courtesy, respect a team that plays well (& with dignity even after a family death...and this isn't the first yr that's happened) & just go play baseball, I might even find some sympathy for em.
As a NYer and a mother, I'm glad the Yankees win because they are the better roll models.

Let's not be rude, now. This is all in good sporting fun and competition. You may reconsider using the word 'never' and name calling unless you are sure of your team's history. Let's take this conversation back to the good-natured place it was before. Whatever we say has nothing to do with whether either team wins or loses, and after the playoffs are over, we still have to face each other - even if it is only in words and pictures. Let's stay civil.

....And GO BOSTON!

I'm sorry, if stating my opinion is rude & uncivil....it's just how I see the events of the first 2 games. I don't see how my opinion of baseball is going to affect our facing each other after the play offs. I said nothing of anyone here.
I'll take my reality & leave you all to your fun...
