I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head
so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy
saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to
believe. Lemme see; have I got this straight?
Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good...
Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad...
Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good...
Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad...
Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...
Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists-
good...
Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad...
Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good...

Clinton commits felonies while in office - good...
Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad...
No mass graves found in Serbia - good...
No WMD found Iraq - bad...
Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good...
Economy on upswing under Bush - bad...
Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good...
World Trade Centers fall under Bush - bad...
Clinton says Saddam has nukes - good...

Terrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good...
Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad...
Milosevic not yet convicted - good...
Saddam turned over for trial - bad...
Ahh, it's so confusing!
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax
burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This
is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the
government. This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the
earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd,
which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates?
Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are
actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no
explanation and provided no data for this claim.
Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy
men. Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions,
all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an
old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).
Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that
sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has
figured out a way to avoid paying his own. |

Did he, or was it a bid? Where does this stuff come from? Cause half of the statements given as facts in the well-circulated internet beauty are wrong?
In any case, no-bid contracts suck, eh? We taxpayers get screwed.
Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good...
Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad...
Again - where is this from? We went in with NATO, and 77 B seems a huge number. I am sceptical. ASt the same time, 87 B for Iraq is too low - 200 B is more like it, with most of it aunaccounted for, or gone for bribes, etc.
The other difference is more important. The Blakans was to stop ethnic slaughter of innocents.
With Iraq, the U.S. slaughterd innocent Iraqi's, for what we now know was for not a single good reason. Shame is ours.
Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...
Again, one stops a slaughter. The other casuses it.
Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists-
good...
Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad...
These Muslim "terrorists" - so know you belive what Milosovic called them = beautiful! They were the ones being slaughterd.
Bush has "liberated no one". He has taken over their country, killed tens of thousands, denied them elections, sold off their industries to his ( nonIraqi) cronies, and their lives and futures are worse than ever.
Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good...
Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad...
NATO bombede the embassy - a mistake? who knoes?
Clinton bombed Afghani Al queda terrorist camps too. Bush doing so was also a good thing.
Clinton commits felonies while in office - good...
Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad...
Baloney.. He committed no felony, and the whole thing was a manufactured scheme by the right-wing. People with any decency at all would never have gone after him for something so menial as an affair, and the republicans will be discraced forever for what they dragged the country through, IMO.
No mass graves found in Serbia - good...
No WMD found Iraq - bad...
Mass graves have been found and continue to be found.
WMD were, as we now know, NEVER AN ISSUE. Except that Bush et al lied constantly about them to rationalize al illegal invasion of Iraq. They lied to us, guys, and tens of thousands of people died.
Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good...
Economy on upswing under Bush - bad...
Just when did that market crash??????
And the economy is on a upswing? Are you kidding me???? China OWNS us!!! We are on the edge of catastrophe here, in case you missed it. If China, Japan, Germany decide to sell off dollars, your home is worthless, job are gone, and the future is very very bleak.
Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good...
World Trade Centers fall under Bush - bad...
The first is an outright lie. Never offered to him.
And Bush was deliberately asleep at the wheel before 9/11!! The Clinton admin warned them til they were blue in the face about Bin Laden, and Bush et al did nothing. Don't get me started on that one!
Clinton says Saddam has nukes - good...
Bush says Saddam has nukes - bad...
Clinton calls for regime change in Iraq - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...
The new report says the sanctions were working beautifully. Nuff said.
Terrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good...
Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad...
Milosevic not yet convicted - good...
Saddam turned over for trial - bad...
