great shot.. but what is that on the far peak pray tell?

Beautiful image. Almost surreal. OK - I'll ask ,too . . . what IS on that peak? lol

Very nice indeed. If you could go back and do a set-up shot it would be phenomenol with a beautiful girl wearing a billowing dress..or something even more creative than that.

Or a woman holding a billowing dress or holding a sidewinder.

I need to say...I sat here for a little while looking at and contemplating this image. Amazed, more than anything that it was stuck into a thread entitled 'Solitude'...for how long, 5 hours? No comments on the thread (though some posted on the actual image).
I guess the thread needs re-titling now huh? LOL

LOL ya, actually that Dune is very popular with tourists, there were maybe 40 people there that morning watching the colours change at sunrise. So solitude is not quite true, LOL.

The peak in the distance has a couple of people standing there, I could have photoshopped themout but decided to leave it as is.

Lori, I wish I could go back there with my Digital Camera and reshoot lots but that ain't going to happen anytime soon. It was my one big African trip back in 1999-2000. I spent close to an hour scanning the film and removing the dust bunnies and scratches on the original film.

Gorgeous shot! I love the lady walking. Adds wonderful interest to a striking landscape! I lLOVE the colors and design of the shot! Great job!
