I was just wondering how all have you been doing with your photos and yourself being voted as favorites? I have about 30 photos or so on here now and so far one person has voted me as a favorite one photo has been voted as a favorite. Is this normal or do I just need to change my portfolio content?

Ha cool! That would be me! Sometimes you just get a shot that strikes someone's fancy, and your one Orange shot really captured my attention. Nah, it just takes time and after a while someone will notice your hard work. |

good fotos are always a good way to get folks to add your shots as faves but first they gotta see 'em. post on threads and/or make comments to get folks to your profile to have a look. Post some of your faves on a thread. the more folks that see your work, the more likiely you are to have more faves picked

I remember the first time someone added on of my photos as a favorite, and then later added me. I've been chasing the sites top favorites for a year. I'm always about 9 favs out.
Keep shooting good shots, get em in the top 20 and you'll begin to have lots of +fav before you know it.

Thanks Roost, you always explain my thoughts a lot clearer than I do.

Thanks for the input. I guess at the same time I get impatient... But yes, your right. With hard work and lots of practice, hopefully I'll start to make the pictures that people will want to see and love.
One more question though. Is it better to put my pics in folders or have them all out on the main folder for them to see right from the start...

That's up to you. I generally like to catergorize mine.
Another tip to getting people to look at your shots is to participate in the forums a lot. I generally find most of my favorites from people who talk on the forums. |
