Description for Communications challenge

I don't usually get too involved with the threads discussing the meaning of the challenge because I am happier being more open to different interpretations ...

But...

This is the current description:
Photograph something used to convey passing ideas or information from one person or group to another person or group.

And this is the original description written by the person who suggested the challenge:

The one he suggested made sense (I'm ambivalent about the note to exclude PCs) but the amended version that has actually been used doesn't. Infact, I must admit that the description as it stands reads as complete gibberish to me.

Is it referring to items used to pass ideas or information?

Or items used to convey the concept of passing ideas or information?

it just makes little sense to me on a semantic/ grammatical level.

Seems to me that it should read either:

Photograph something used to pass ideas or information from one person or group to another person or group.

or

Convey the passing of ideas or information from one person or group to another person or group.

But how one finds an item used not to pass information but used to CONVEY the passing of information is beyond me...

I'm not confused about it...I'm just assuming they meant what the original person wrote.

But I think the challenge description for Communication should read as follows (read carefully, between the lines even):

I think MOST challenges would actually stand better without a description than with one. Certainly that would still give a theme to challenges without restricting creativity and different interpretations in the way the descriptions often do.

But, given that the idea of not having descriptions generally doesn't seem popular (it's been brought up often enough before), then I'm all for a description that actually makes sense without having to read past mistakes.

It just has one extra word that shouldn't be there. It should read...

Photograph something used to convey ideas or information from one person or group to another person or group.

At least that is what I'm going with.

yeah...

It just bugs me... I could understand not having time to review the wordings already provided but to mess them up when they were correct to begin with is a shame.

I'm no doubt a terrible pedant and will burn in the fires of you know where for my utter intolerance for such errors.

definitely "wordings" plural - I am using "wording" as a noun to mean same as description.
