I assume you're talking to me.
No, 2 different shots, experiments with ISO, Speed &c.
This one is slightly out of focus, also through fine clouds

Gauti: What lens are you using?

Through my Leica APO-Televid 77 with an adapter.
800mm F10.4, which on my 10D works as an 1280mm lens.
Difficult to use, hard to focus and very shaky, but when pics work, they are superb. Haven't posted anything (other than the moon shots) here yet, might soon.

Mostly sunny all day, until about an hour ago when a storm moved in.

The worst of it isn't too big though, so I'm hoping it'll blow over before I miss out on another one. :(

I just tested my 20D and Canon 70-200mm F4 + 1.4 TC.

This is full frame:

This is 31% of the original frame:

I used the sunny F16 rule to expose the moon manually. F16 and 1/ISO. In this case I used F8 and 1/350 sec with ISO 100. Will need longer shutter speeds as the moon gets eclipsed.

Help Please! I have a Panasonic DCM FZ1 firmed to FZ2. So I only have P / A / S. It has a 12X optical [420mm] Zoom and with digital 3X [910mm]. I have been outside for about an hour taking photos to see what the best setting is. Could any one tell me which would be the best setting [Amp Priority or Shutter Priority]? When I zoom to 12X looks real small on my computer screen. Will the Digital make it to bad of a picture?
Is there anyone that can tell me the best, A or S setting?
NOTE: this camera has no full manual settings or manual focus. And I canĂ¢€™t figure out the P setting. I guess its sets the A and S for me????

Can you do an exposure compensation? I am using 160/f6.5/iso 100, it seems to give decen result. (I have only 200mm, though :()

I can put it on P and set it to take 3 photos EV-1 - 0 - +1 or
EV -1/2 - 0 - +1/2
