Hey y'all,
I've notice that the brightness levels of my pictures get increased once I submit to DPC and they get displayed on my submissions page - any reason why this happens? Does it have anything to do with the MSExplorer I'm using? I normally view or edit my pictures using iPhotoPlus and Canon's ZoomBrowser software.
My iPhotoPlus software has a gamma adjustment which I have adjusted properly (I think), and the differences in levels between the displays of iPhotoPlus and ZoomBrowser are very close to each other. Only the DPC page displays them brighter.
Submitting pictures has become a hit and miss thing - I end up resubmitting each picture several times before I get a decent "exposure" when displayed on the website. Of course, different monitors have different brightness and contrast settings, but how come the levels differ so much using different software on the same monitor?
Thanks to whomever wants to tackle this one.

I had that when I accidently had set the wrong default color profile in Photoshop.

Do you open your pictures with a a browser, like Netscape or Explorer. Sometimes the editing software displays the image differently. Just a thouhgt. I always open the images in my browser before I sumbit to make sure it looks okay.

Simple enough. Using my browser will save some DPC bandwidth...
Thanks!
