As I think most of you know by now, I get out on my bike and like to belt around the neighbourhood. Sadly my belting has been curtailed because
Human remains were found last evening, barely 5 minutes' bike ride away from me.

Not only is this stretch of road a favourite of mine to ride, I also rode past the now-scene at about 4:45 p.m. last night. The body was found less than two hours later. Hell, if I had also biked back home by that stretch of road, I might have seen the duffel bag...if it had been there by then. Details are sketchy at the moment, but lots of locals are somewhat on edge, traffic is being rerouted etc. I never had any illusions about the country being a completely safe place to live, but it is a little unnerving to know this happened so close by and so recently.

Yikes!
That would be unnerving. My bet is that you have little to worry about locally... I'd bet on it being a "body dump" probably quite a distance from where the deadly deed actually occurred.

Seems to be what the OPP are saying too, that local residents shouldn't be concerned. Still...

One guy who is on the unbalanced side not only lives within the perimeter area, but he also has pulled some stunts in the past during federal election time, which is next Monday for us. All sorts of weird crap all over his property including lots of political ranting signage. However it seems unlikely that he would go this far. I hope!

Get Uncle Raymie on the scene, he'll fix it right up :-)

Oh I'm sure he knows about it...but he's RCMP and currently the OPP are handling it.

I live in Miami. This is a fairly common occurrence here, and yet I still have yet to be murdered, surprising no? ;-)

Well we finally have a descrip of the body, but without even a basic police sketch to work from, it's pretty useless. Face shape, eye shape, bone structure...all that would help immensely.
