I did some Photos of my 12 yr old sister in law. I don't think I have ever seen a picture of her besides the ones I have taken. I took 40 plus pics but realy only liked a few. I didnt get any body shots because she didnt want any. I have never done this before on anyone besides my constantly moving kids, but got inspired from this site.
Anyways I have to get at least one of these printed for her mom as a
B-day gift but I am not sure which ones I liked. Most of the pictures were unusable because I kept getting a glare in her glasses. Also any comments on improvement or what I "should have done" would be great.
If I have to I will re-shoot. Most of the cropping was done to remove distracting things.
thanks

I reall like this one, but she didn't

I like the fourth one the best.
I dont really have any strong feelings towards the first one but i actually dislike the 2nd and 3rd ones because the leaves are competing for attention with the person.

I personally havent done that many portraits but i think the most effective ones are the ones that have the person in complete sharpness and full detail and the background partially blurred out... also you shouldnt be too close to you subject or else you get wierd distortions in the face, for example the nose looks bigger. Thats all i can think of. Good luck.

Would like to see the pics properly, not the resized, however you are going for the candid shots rather than posed portriats. They look natural and homely.

The 2nd, with the green leaves as background looks good.

Keep at it!
