| i had two meetings and two shoots in the french quarter tonight. Each job/meeting fed me at least 3 drinks. I think the french quarter is speaking through me. And then... I spent all my cash at virgin records. Ok..so music is the next best thing to sex. ;) Buy a new lens...a new CD...a new sound system. Pain passes. Your vision will always be yours...no matter what. |

We can live without them mate. Its just what your going thru is withdrawls. When you grow use to having someone lay in the same bed or being able to wake up and see that person there its comforting to know that there is someone out there that loves you or so you would think. There is plenty of fish in the sea but I suggest that you don't fish until you can live with yourself. People fear being alone because most people are affraid to be alone. I'm gonna suggest as many years as you were with that person is as many years as its gonna take to get over them. In the mean time meaningless one night stands will always come around BUT I also suggest that you don't for the first couple of times. Its just to easy of a cop out and next thing you know you saying the 'word' of lust while satisifing your sexual needs. In short, until you can live with yourself, by yourself, then I suggest you don't get to serious with anybody until you know yourself.

This is good advice.
I have a friend who is 33 years old, lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with no furniture but a computer, chair and desk and a bed. He has no savings and no prospects. He has 3 kids with 2 different women and 2 divorces under his belt. Almost all his money goes to his kids though he doesn̢۪t often see them.
About 4 months ago he broke up w/ the craziest woman I knew. All his friends told him she was insane and he should move on. But he did not take this advice (even though he was the one telling us the crazy stories about her and their fights). He instead moved in with her in HER house. A few months go by, he is homeless and im rushing to get him an apartment in the building I live because she kicked him out. Literally was throwing his clothes out into the yard. Made him miss work, he was almost fired.
Back to the present; he is now dating a girl (much nicer/more sane) for 2 months now. He is already talking about trying to find a house to buy w/ her.
He cant seem to stay single for whatever reasons and its destroying his life. He lives like a 21 year old because of his pattern; the only way he can stay sane it seems.
Do yourself a favor; be single for a while. |

Now thats good advice! Nothing worse than going out with someone a few times, only to discover he is completely hung up on a past relationship or trapped in a womanizing pattern or even worse...secretly MARRIED! (gasp) |
