here's an example:

[ url=//www.langpage.com]photos[ /url ]

note that i put spaces inside the square brackets. once you remove them, you have a link plus text. good luck :)

Your first attempt was close.

[ url=//www.pbase.com/jdanderson ]jdanderson[ /url ]

Again, remove the spaces.

pbase.com/danderson/profile

or leave off the /profile and it will go to your root directory which, in your case it shows to be empty.

I saw your link in another post
[ url=//www.justineo.com[ /url ]
remove the space after the first bracket, close the bracket after .com, and remove the spaces around the /url.
